I did this project because I am extremely concerned for the present and future of girls in Afghanistan. On March 23, when the Taliban refused to allow girls to go to secondary school, like everyone else I felt devastated. As an Afghan woman, it is clear to me that education has changed my life and fate. I would have been a different person, trapped in a different destiny, had I not had the chance to get an education. This is the case for many Afghan women that I know and admire.
These days, I speak to schoolgirls who break into tears when they talk about school. Their voices tremble, and a miserable silence often follows. I find no words to comfort and hardly any hope to console them. It is a disastrous cost to pay for being girls.

I want them to stop sending mixed messages to the Taliban and world. For instance, flying Taliban delegations in private jets and meeting with them in different countries with smiling pictures and hopeful messages do not help the people of Afghanistan. The UN and international community must have concrete plans on how to respond if the Taliban maintain their draconian position in the coming months and years, as they seem likely to. Life in Afghanistan has been interrupted since the Taliban came to power, it cannot continue like this. I want them to know that every single day of life under the Taliban marks an unfathomable loss for Afghan women and girls.
Ultimately, however, the most effective way to prevent teenage video game addiction is by addressing the underlying issues that make teens vulnerable to gaming disorder. Hence, parents can help teens build positive coping mechanisms such as physical activity, time in nature, yoga, meditation, and creative expression. In addition, keep the lines of communication open so that teens feel encouraged to share their feelings and experiences. This is particularly important for boys, who are generally less open about their emotional struggles than girls.

In Marjane Satrapi's graphic novel Persepolis, education is an extremely important theme. At the beginning of the book, we learn that Marjane had been attending a French, non-religious, co-ed school until 1980. Then, when she was ten years old, the Cultural Revolution called for girls to wear the veil, boys and girls to be separated at school, and for bilingual schools to be banned.
Her family's primary goal was giving Marjane a secular, liberal education. This became impossible. So, in addition to attending school, she was encouraged to read as much as possible and to have sophisticated religious, political, and philosophical discussions with her parents. At the beginning of the book, Marjane explains that ''...as a family, we were very...avant-garde.'' In fact, one of the book's major themes on education is that sometimes institutionalized education is not to be trusted.
As an only child, she was often privy to adult conversations at her house. She became politically active on her own at a very early age and even attended protests. Her parents answered her questions honestly. Throughout the book, Marjane relies on her own curiosity and ability to teach herself whenever the emphasis on political ideology at her school fails her.
Your child should not attend a vaccination session or appointment either at school or at a centre if they have tested positive for COVID-19. They should self-isolate and wait for 12 weeks before having their first or second dose. Children who are at increased risk, should wait 4 weeks from a positive test result, before having their vaccine.
All young people in the eligible age group who do not attend school, for example those who are home educated or living in secure accommodation, should be offered the vaccine. The school age immunisation service provider will have plans in place to offer vaccines to these young people.
